I improvise in a range of contexts, for stage, podcast, and TV. In 2021 I starred in the BBC One show This Is My House, fooling a celebrity panel including Bill Bailey and Emily Atack into thinking that I lived in a house in Leicestershire. The episode is here but it’s not available now, which is a shame. The show was nominated for a National Television Award, which is nice, isn’t it.
I can be heard improvising in Come Into My Kitchen, a podcast with Daniel Nils Roberts in which we pretend to talk to the world’s finest chefs. In 2022 the podcast was nominated in the Best Comedy category of the British Podcast Awards.
The Awkward Silence made an improvised podcast called Disgraced, in which we spoke to people whose careers went up in flames for one reason or another (usually another).
For Criminal I also appear occasionally as an improviser as well as a host.
